Hello, I'm Jan Overney—a science and technology enthusiast. Based in the vibrant tech hub of Zurich, Switzerland, my journey intertwines science, technology, and the art of storytelling.
Multilingual roots: Born in a multilingual environment, English is my mother tongue. Fluent in German, French, and proficient in Portuguese.
Educational foundation: Master's in Physics from EPFL with research spanning environmental fluid dynamics, cellular biology, and computational biology.
Writing career: Over 15 years of crafting engaging content on science and technology, first as press officer at EPFL, then as senior content writer at u-blox, and currently as a freelance writer.
Communication style: Colleagues have described me as a strong communicator and an efficient collaborator who brings people together. Thanks to my scientific background, I am comfortable getting into the weeds with with technical subject matter experts.
